Ken's Victory

I picked out a motivational poster to commerate your accomplishment.

Monday evening I went to the Area 21 and 22 speaking contests. I was proud to cheer on my father as he won the table topics contest for our area! Truely, it was one of the most creative and telling table topic answers that I have ever heard. Mark you calendars for Sept. 22nd to watch him at the division C contest. It is 7:00pm at the Madonna Rehab Center - Sheridan Rooms, 5401 South Street Lincoln, NE. This is during our regular meeting time. Next meeting we can discuss how to reconcile this time conflict.

Feline Motivational Seminars

Make Up Training for Officers

Tues. Aug. 25th we will be hosting an officer training make up session during our regular meeting time. We will meet at our usual location, Anderson Library, and at the usual time, 5:45pm. We will be joined by toastmasters from other clubs. Note that this may replace your scheduled duties for this week. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me.

Officer Of The Year

Awards nominations are now open. Together we can nominate our club officers for the officer of the year. Or nominate your area or division governor. The Ann Gold Award is for the outstanding club of the year. District 24 awards will be presented at the Fall District Conference. Nominations close on September 1, 2009. At the District 24 website they have links to each of the office's nomination forms.

Membership Survey

At our next meeting I would like to get a survey of people's interests. The purpose is to help steer our club's educational portion of the meetings to meet individual's goals and interests. To keep this from taking time during our meeting, you can print the survey and bring it filled out to our next meeting, Tues. Aug. 18th. Here is the link to the survey. Otherwise, you can fill one out at the meeting.

We Have A Winner!

Congrats to Ken for winning our club table topics contest! All club members and their guests are welcomed to watch the area contest at Modonna Hospital Mon. Aug. 24th in the Agee Conference room. It begins at 7:00pm and there will be refreshments.
