I've never seen a 6.5 minute speech produce such delicious results. Dwayne, Charles, and I found fun things to do. Melinda suggested a summer T M program at Wesleyan, too. Sucessful Presentations Begin with the Introduction

Michelle~
Thanks for introducing my speech today. It felt great to be so well introduced!
~Julie

Toastmasters.org says introductions help bring smooth transitions to our meeting. As a speaker you can write your own introduction, or leave it to the person introducing you. Either way the info conveyed to the rest of the group should include:
  • Speech topic and title
  • Manual and project title
  • Assignment objectives
  • Speaker’s personal objectives
  • Delivery time
Try 30-60 seconds in length.

Membership Survey

At our next meeting I would like to get a survey of people's interests. The purpose is to help steer our club's educational portion of the meetings to meet individual's goals and interests. To keep this from taking time during our meeting, you can print the survey and bring it filled out to our next meeting, Tues. Aug. 18th. Here is the link to the survey. Otherwise, you can fill one out at the meeting.
